Studying English at elementary school

Agreement

Students can be interested in English adn foreign cultures at an early age.

There is a hypothesis that we can never acquire English as a native speaker after the critical period.

Students can improve their aural oral skills.

Students will not hesitate to speak English.

 

Disagreement

If students have a couple of English classes in a week but have no chance to speak English outside the school, they will not be good at speaking English

Unless we change the ways of studying English at junior high school level, it makes no difference even if they start studying English at the elementary school.

Some people acquire native- like proficiency in English after the citical period.

Students should study Japanese rather than English at an elementary school level.

We usually use ‘PRO’S’ and ‘CON’s’ in such an argument. Keep up the work!
We shall cover in class how we write Pros and Cons. Chao.
